Ace for Science

The College of Science and the South Bend Alumni Association together are organizing an “ACE FOR SCIENCE” mixed-doubles tennis tournament to raise money that will  support SCIENCE PROGRAMS in South Bend’s  schools (K-12). The tournament will start at 10 a.m. April 26 (Saturday) at the Eck Tennis Pavilion.

This event will be great fun, pairing Notre Dame community members with local residents and celebrities. In addition to the tournament, we will hold “Ace the Dean” and “Challenge the Pros” games. Come out to support science in our local schools and watch your colleagues play – or try to ace Greg or challenge South Bend Racquet Club pros. You might win a free membership to the club.

To sign up for the tournament ($50 per player $20 for students), contact Margaret Dobrowolska at  or Kathy Peterson.

If you can’t attend, you can still contribute to the cause. Donation boxes are in the ACMS, biological sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, physics, and mathematics departmental offices, as well as the dean's office. No gift is too small. After all, if we don’t get excited about educating future scientists in our community, who will?

Go Science!
