The Notre Dame Center for Nano Science and Technology (NDnano) is now accepting applications for the fourth annual NDConnect competition to recognize outstanding undergraduate students who are engaged in nanoscience and nanoengineering research.
Students graduating from any university or college in 2015–2017 are eligible to apply.
Prizes for the best projects and presentations will be awarded at a one-day event to be held at Notre Dame this fall. Finalists will be provided travel support to the campus and compete for first-, second-, and third-place prizes of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000, respectively.
“The fall event provides a unique one-day opportunity for student researchers to learn about Notre Dame’s graduate programs, discuss career options with representatives from several industry giants, meet one-on-one with faculty, and showcase their own research during the poster session competition,” said Alan Seabaugh, professor of electrical engineering at Notre Dame and director of the Center for Low Energy Systems Technology. “The faculty and industry judges who have met our past NDConnect finalists have been extremely impressed with the caliber of the students and their work.”
