Morrison Family Education & Outreach Pavilion Dedication at ND-LEEF

On Friday, June 10, the Notre Dame Environmental Change Initiative welcomed the ND-ECI community to the dedication of the Morrison Family Education & Outreach Pavilion at Notre Dame’s Linked Experimental Ecosystem Facility. Serving as the centerpiece of ND-LEEF, the Morrison Family Pavilion offers a year-round outdoor classroom and outreach destination located five miles from campus at St. Patrick’s County Park.

The dedication included remarks by: 

  • Jennifer Tank - ND-ECI Director
  • Aimee Buccellato – ND Architecture Professor 
  • Evie Kirkwood – Director of St. Joseph County Parks
  • Brett Peters - ND-LEEF Assistant Director

The Pavilion blessing was performed by Fr. Pete McCormick, CSC. The morning concluded with ND-LEEF facility and research tours.

The Morrison Pavilion truly serves as a platform for the public, University visitors and academic peers to learn of the cutting-edge research being conducted by scientists, and acts as the gateway between the classroom and the field for educators and students of all ages.
