About the Program

Fellows will be responsible for overseeing a specific project that addresses critical issues and can be completed within the term of the fellowship. Projects should result in a specific deliverable that contributes to or advances the work of the College. Upon selection, Fellows will be paired with a mentor and work with them to choose a project from a list of priorities identified by the dean’s office. Mentors, who will be associate deans, will provide support and guidance for the duration of the fellowship.

Fellows will be expected to meet approximately biweekly with their mentor and attend relevant meetings as identified in collaboration with their mentor. Fellows will also be engaged in college leadership activities ranging from attending College of Science Leadership meetings to leading a project/workgroup or other activities that are relevant to the Fellows’ areas of interest. Fellows may also have the opportunity to shadow the Dean or other College of Science leaders in meetings or other activities that are relevant to the Fellows’ areas of interest or to their project. They will also have the opportunity to participate in individual leadership coaching conversations with select senior leaders, if desired.
