Spark Conference

A conference on Notre Dame's research, commercialization, and entrepreneurship.

As Notre Dame strives to become a premiere research institution, students should be involved in the exciting and groundbreaking research being done here and the entrepreneurial projects being started by Domers both on and off campus.  This conference will demonstrate the possibilities of research at the University and the projects that have the potential to become viable businesses. Speakers will be briefly present their project and findings with visual media in a way that expresses the general idea behind their project, their inspiration to start the project, and their journey to success.

As the Vice President for Research at Notre Dame Robert J. Bernhard states, “Our burgeoning research infrastructure features a wealth of institutes and centers, ever expanding state-of-the-art technologies and facilities, and a research administration team that unreservedly supports [research] efforts.” By hosting this spring event, we hope to “spark” intellectual curiosity in all Notre Dame undergraduates and present them with opportunities and tools to get them involved in these exciting projects in the future.

Faculty, students, and alumni involved in research or business ventures will speak to students about their projects. Lectures will last from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and the reception will last from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Sponsors: College of Science, Innovation Park, Gigot Center for Entrepreneurship, Mendoza College of Business, College of Arts and Letters, College of Engineering, and the ESTEEM master's program
