Science and Spirit(s)

Location: Worthington Renaissance, Fort Worth, Texas

Science and Spirit(s)

Join the College of Science dean, faculty, and students for fun "TED-style" talks to learn how Notre Dame is tackling the big science questions of today.

"When Nature Bites Back: Solving the Budget-Busting Invasive Species Epidemic"
Prof. David Lodge

"Embryonic Development: Going from Embryo to Adult"
Prof. Norman Dovichi

"A Medical Revolution in the Making: Adult Stem Cells"
Prof. Rebecca Wingert

"The Ultimate Fate of our Universe: The God Particle."
Prof. Chris Kolda

Complimentary food and beverages will be provided, including "Texas-style" appetizers and "Irish-style" coffee.

This is family-friendly event and will include interactive science experiments and activities with our undergraduates, including:

  • No need to steal a Pot of gold. Create your own from the loose change in your pocket.
  • You have jerseys, shirts, hats, and flags. However, you are not a true Fighting Irish fan until you add some DNA to your swag.
  • Who will you be when you grow up? A caterpillar will become a butterfly. Will you become part of the Fighting Irish?
