Prior to the Navy game, Joseph Bock, Ph.D., Director of Global Health Training at the Eck Institute for Global Health, will give a presentation called, "Health and Violence: Conflict Early Warning and Early Response."
This talk will cover the use of early warning technologies that are helpful in identifying where and when violence is likely to occur. Methods that are used with early warning systems will be covered, including the use of digital mapping and pattern recognition. Examples of practical ways to prevent violence will be presented from India, Sri Lanka, and inner-city Chicago.
