COL James F. Cummings, MC, USA, is an infectious diseases specialist in the US Army. He has served in a variety of leadership roles within the Dept. of Defense medical research and product development enterprise.  He was also deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving as a Theatre Infectious Diseases consultant.

COL Stephen J. Thomas, MC, USA, is also an infectious diseases specialist and currently serves as the consultant to the US Army Surgeon General for Infectious Disease issues.  Prior to his current position, he was the Director, Department of Virology, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, where he was and continues to serve as a subject matter expert on Dengue vaccine development.
