In June 2015, Pope Francis issued, “Ladauto Si: On Care for Our Common Home” which called for “swift and unified global action" to combat environmental degradation and global warming. Poor nations, the pontiff says, are ill-prepared to adapt to the effects of climate change and will bear the brunt of its effects.
