Career Pathways Seminar: Jooyoung June Cha

Jooyoung June Cha, '07 Ph.D, public health advisor, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, will present a talk during the Career Pathways Seminar from 2-3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 in A100 Harper Hall, at the Harper Research Institute.

Cha is an infectious disease scientist, a public health professional, and an expert in research, monitoring and evaluation, statistical analysis, public health policy, quality improvement and strategic planning. Since early 2017, she has served as a Public Health Advisor at the Office on Women's Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She is spearheading various aspects of nationwide task forces, and is passionate about combining her in-depth knowledge of both biological and social science principles to improve disease prevention and care policies.

After graduating with her Ph.D. from Notre Dame, she completed her post-doctoral training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and New York University, and received her M.Ph. in Global Health Leadership from New York University.
