James (Jim) Murphy is the chief actuary and Senior Vice President of Product at Windhaven Insurance Company, a regional personal lines insurance company headquartered in Miami. The company was recently named one of the South Florida Business Journal's Best Places to Work for the third time.
Jim has worked in the actuarial field for over 20 years. In his current role, he oversees all actuarial and product development functions, including pricing, underwriting, and reserving for all existing and new insurance products. Jim has previously worked in both consulting and at various insurance companies, including Republic Underwriters, the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association, and USAA.
