Leonard Petrucelli, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Neuroscience at Mayo Clinic in Florida, and his research team are leaders in researching the cellular mechanisms behind neurodegeneration in Alzheimer’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Petrucelli’s lab seeks to develop therapies for the treatment of diseases characterized by abnormal protein aggregation.
