As a research and teaching support facility, the museum is rarely open to the public. But during Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day, see the Department of Biological Science’s extensive collections of plants, amphibians, fish, birds, and fossils that have been acquired over the past 175 years.
The event is free, but ticketed. For tickets, please go to the Smithsonian website.
