Citizens’ Climate Lobby’s Great Lakes Regional Conference

Location: Saint Mary’s College, Madeleva Hall

The Citizens’ Climate Lobby Great Lakes Regional Conference offers empowering, inspiring events that gather climate advocates from around the Great Lakes region. Together, attendees explore current and relevant topics impacting their region: climate change, relationships with their legislators, and how all citizens can move Congress toward meaningful climate legislation.

2019 Citizens’ Climate Lobby Great Lakes Regional Conference

September 21 – 22, 2019

Reception and registration on Friday, Sept. 20 from 6:30 – 9 p.m.

Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana

Early bird registration available through August 18 ($80). Friday evening reception and Saturday lunch and dinner included.

Attendees will gather together to draw inspiration, strengthen skills, build resolve, develop strategies and deepen connections as we work toward passing the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act.

Attendees can look forward to:

 

  • Keynote by Dr. Carolyn Woo, “The Role of Large Investors in Our Energy Transition.” Dr. Woo is a Distinguished President’s Fellow for Global Development, Purdue University and the former President and CEO of Catholic Relief Services (CRS). She helped spearhead the recent meeting at the Vatican, “The Energy Transition and Care for Our Common Home.”



  • Madeleine Para, VP of Programs will address CCL’s national strategy and train us in leadership skills to move us forward.


  • Plenary sessions on strengthening our work by diversifying the organization.

  • youth panel and campus organizing for students.


  • Skill-building workshops with highly experienced CCL leaders.


  • Social time to mingle with your fellow CCLers.

The Great Lakes Region covers Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin but all are welcome! Full details are available on the registration page where early bird registration is available through August 18th.
