Zineb Ammous, MD, clinical geneticist and medical director, The Community Health Clinic, Topeka, Indiana
Dr. Ammous received her medical degree in 2009 from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York and completed a Medical Genetics Residency at the University of Miami in June 2013. Dr. Ammous is board certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. She is the Medical Director of the Community Health Clinic’s newborn screening follow-up program and also serves on the Indiana Genetics Advisory Committee (IGAC) and its Newborn Screening subcommittee. Dr. Ammous has expertise in treatment and research of rare genetic diseases in children with special needs and their families. The mission of the Community Health Clinic is to provide excellent and affordable medical care consistent with the needs of the Amish, Mennonite and other rural northern Indiana communities, with a focus on individuals and families with special healthcare needs. The CHC embraces, incorporates and promotes participation in research to advance medical knowledge and improve care.
