Collective Structure of Neutron-Rich Nuclei around 100Zr

The tensor force plays an important role in the configuration-dependent shell evolution named as type II shell evolution, which leads to the multiple shapes coexisting in one nucleus. The neutron-rich nuclei around Z=40 is well known for the shape coexistence phenomenon. With the Monte Carlo Shell Model (MCSM) calculation, three 0+ states are predicted in 100Zr to manifest different shapes from the ground 01+ state. Especially, the 04+ state in 100Zr is predicated as a spherical shape but has even not been experimentally observed until today. An experiment to search the 04+ state in 100Zr with β-decay spectroscopy of 100Y was performed at the Argonne Tandem-Linac Accelerator System (ATLAS) facility, with the high-precision gamma-ray spectrometer of GAMMASPHERE and a 100Y beam extracted from the Californium Rare Ion Breeder Upgrade (CARIBU). In this experiment, the 04+ and 05+ states in 100Zr were firstly identified with the gamma-gamma coincidence and gamma-gamma angular correlation, which provided two candidates for the predicted spherical 04+ state. In this talk, the shape coexistence of 100Zr will be mainly addressed in detail, followed by extending my research to the region of shape phase transition around 110Zr. In the end, I would like to present some ideas regarding my future research plan, which can be conducted at ATLAS and FRIB in the future.
