Title:  Biomagnification of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in aquatic food webs

Daniele De Almeida Miranda, Postdoctoral Research Associate, Univeristy of Notre Dame

Daniele Miranda is a biologist whose research focuses on organic contaminants in wildlife and abiotic matrices along with how environmental processes drive contaminant pathways. She holds a Ph.D. in Ecology (lines of research: ecotoxicology and biomonitoring) from the Federal University of Bahia, in Brazil (2021). She also interned at Stockholm University, in Sweden, where she developed research focusing on the degradation, dispersion, and biomagnification of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in tropical environments.
