Homotopy Transfer, Gauge-fixing and why some theorems grow on trees
Abstract: In this talk, we will meditate on a classical result on the homotopy transfer of differential graded Lie algebras (following Kontsevich and Soibelman). To view this result in a different light, we will give an elevator pitch on the BV formalism and a sketch of the concept of "gauge-fixing". We will then explain how the homotopy transfer statement can be elegantly proven by gauge-fixing BF theory.
