Building Services Mural and Photovoice Exhibit Celebration

Location: McNeill Gallery, Geddes Hall (View on map )

Join the Institute for Social Concerns as they celebrate the opening of a new mural and photography exhibit in Geddes Hall! This exhibit is a collaboration between staff members in Building Services and students in the Institute's Art and Social Change course.

Staff and students engaged in Photovoice, a participatory research methodology, and the exhibit features stories of Building Services staff as told by the staff members themselves. Accompanying the Photovoice exhibit is the Institute for Social Concerns’ Dignity of Work mural, painted by local artists David Martin and Jason Haney, that depicts the many contributions of Building Services employees over the decades. In the spirit of Walk the Walk Week, the exhibit aims to celebrate and amplify the diverse voices of Building Services staff and honor their service and labor.
