Danielle Merfeld, Global Chief Technology Officer at Qcells, will outline how solar energy is no longer just an alternative energy source but is transitioning into a cornerstone of national security and economic independence. Advances in solar PV technology and domestic manufacturing, combined with the rapid integration of energy storage, are enabling a resilient, decarbonized grid for the next generation. She will also explore how the frontiers of PV innovation are stretching into outer space to power massive satellite constellations and enable permanent lunar installations.
