The College of Science is proud to welcome eight new teaching and research faculty members to the University of Notre Dame. They are all talented researchers and teachers, and are enthusiastic about being part of the Notre Dame community.

The Harper Cancer Research Institute—our partnership with the Indiana University School of Medicine South Bend—welcomes three new faculty: Laurie Littlepage, the Campbell Family Assistant Professor of Cancer Research, Siyuan Zhang, the Nancy Dee Assistant Professor of Cancer Research, and Reginald Hill, the Archibald Assistant Professor of Cancer Biology.

Justin Crepp and Kenjiro Gomes join the Department of Physics as Frank M. Freimann Assistant Professors of Physics.

Roxana Smarandache, associate professor of mathematics, and Jun Li assistant professor of applied and computational mathematics and statistics are also joining the faculty.  Adrian Rocha, assistant professor of biological sciences and a member of the Environmental Change Initiative, is currently conducting fieldwork in Alaska.

To get to know them better, watch each new faculty member explain why they decided to join the Notre Dame College of Science community.
