Olaf Wiest earns funding from GCI
Notre Dame International (NDI) has awarded Global Collaboration Initiative grants to eight Notre Dame faculty engaged in research with colleagues at universities around the world.
The GCI awards provide seed funding to support sustainable international research collaborations and aim to enhance Notre Dame’s international profile as a leading research university.
“The quality and scope of the projects by our colleagues who submitted proposals this year were truly impressive,” said Robert Norton, NDI’s associate vice president for academic affairs and research. “The award-winning projects represent disciplines from across the entire University and we are confident that they will further advance Notre Dame’s reputation abroad through collaborative research with excellent international partners."
Now in their second year, the GCI awards elicited plentiful and high-caliber proposals from Notre Dame faculty. Twenty-six proposals were submitted from researchers who represented more than 17 departments in the Colleges of Arts and Letters, Engineering, Science, Mendoza College of Business, and the Law School.
