The Northern Indiana Regional Science and Engineering Fair will take place Saturday (March 15) at the University of Notre Dame's Stepan Center. The event is open to the public at 1:30 p.m. and parking is available in the D lots east of the Stepan Center or in the Library B lot.

The fair will feature 210 projects created by students in grades four through 12 from public and private schools in St. Joseph, Elkhart, Fulton and Marshall counties.

More than 150 special awards will be presented to participants.

The top two high school seniors will have the opportunity to compete in the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair in Atlanta in May. In addition, students with outstanding senior and junior (Grades 7-8) projects will have the opportunity to compete at the Hoosier State Science and Engineering Fair on April 5 at DePauw University.

The event is sponsored by Notre Dame's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the College of Science.
