Summer research is underway for the students awarded fellowships from the University of Notre Dame’s Center for Nano Science and Technology (NDnano). This year 16 students will engage in a variety of projects led by NDnano affiliated faculty from the colleges of science and engineering. The NDnano Undergraduate Research Fellowship (NURF) recipients are listed below.
During the 10-week program, students conduct research in a broad range of project areas including nanoparticles, metamaterials, polymers, membranes, gas separation, and therapeutics.
The summer researchers represent several universities, including the University of Notre Dame, Bethel University, Syracuse University, University of Mississippi, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. In addition to the funding through NDnano, NURF students are also funded by the Woodward Family Endowment for Excellence in NDnano Undergraduate Research and other faculty grants and funds.
Plan to join the NDnano students on July 24 at Jordan Hall as they showcase their work in the University’s Summer Research Symposium. The event will include students from many of the Research Experience for Undergraduates programs taking place at Notre Dame this summer.
