Science Exploration Series: Beating the Spread: Wagering against two proteins that spread breast cancer to bone

Location: 101 Jordan Hall

Bone cancers that started from dormant breast cancer cells are incurable. But Laurie Littlepage, Ph.D., Campbell Family Assistant Professor of Cancer Research, and her lab have discovered how two proteins work to rapidly reproduce and form tumors in bones. Understanding how this process works can lead to new therapies to treat breast cancer metastasis.
