Science Exploration Series: The History and Science of the University of Notre Dame Nuclear Science Lab (and tour)


Location: 127 Nieuwland Science Hall

The University of Notre Dame is home to one of the longest running nuclear physics programs in the country, and recently celebrated 80 years of nuclear science. Learn the history of the Notre Dame Nuclear Science Laboratory, and hearĀ an overview of the current science program, which addresses a number of open questions in astrophysics, nuclear science, cultural heritage, and consumer product safety.

Immediately following the talk, tour the Nuclear Science Lab in Nieuwland Hall during until 4 pm.
