Join Notre Dame’s premier neuroscience research forum. ND Neuro Rounds brings together faculty, postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduates to collaboratively analyze the most groundbreaking, high-impact neuroscience publications in real time. Whether you are a seasoned investigator or an undergraduate looking to build foundational research skills, ND Neuro Rounds offers a unique seat at the scientific table.


EVENT DETAILS

  • When: Wednesdays, 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM (Bi-weekly, Fall 2026, Starting 9/16/2026)
  • Where: DeBartolo Hall - see the calendar below for room numbers
  • Hosted By: ND Neuro Research Labs (Featuring rotations of Professors, Postdocs, Staff, and Graduate Student presenters)

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • No Homework Required: Presenters assume the audience hasn’t read the paper.
  • Data-First Focus: We jump straight into the figures before unpacking the conclusions.
  • Interactive Dissection: At least 50% of every session is dedicated to open, live communitydiscussion.
  • Zero Barrier to Entry: Built-in "Critique Pauses" ensure everyone can follow along and jumpinto the conversation.

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND

  • Undergraduates: Learn how world-class scientists evaluate data. Keep a "Critique Log," askclarifying questions, and gain firsthand experience in critical literature analysis.
  • Graduate Students: Focus on experimental mechanics, methodology, and technicallimitations while refining your analytical toolkit.
